BIO

Matt Curran is an established virtuoso guitarist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumental musician who was sponsored by Gibson Guitars at eleven years old. Born in Brooklyn in 1990 with a bold musical style of his own, inspired by his deep spirituality, Matt has performed at highly acclaimed venues and collaboratedwith renowned musicians across the United States. Matt has performed and shared the stage with legendary artists and bands such as the great and late Les Paul, Dave Mason, the late Jeff Healey, Drew Zigg (Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs), Cornelius Bumpus (Doobie Brothers), John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, and many others.

Some of the many music venues Matt has played for include: B.B. King Blues Club, CBGB, Hard Rock Café Times Square, Café Wha?, Decade Nightclub, The Red Lion, South by Southwest (Austin, TX), amongst many other exciting venues.

Matt composed his first original songs at eleven. At twelve years old, his debut album “Only In My Dreams” was recorded at Dubway in New York City in 2002. Matt also has a completely self-produced album “Simplify” (2009) with spiritual themes of knowing oneself (under stage name Matthew Curran). He has a recent EP produced by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Ramones, Phish, Spacehog). His new EP has a neo-Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison, fiery guitar and dreamy synth vibe.
